Zoya Paradise Sun Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have swatches of the shimmery half of Zoya's summer collections, the Paradise Sun Collection. For the most part, these colors pair up really nicely with the creme shades in the Island Fun half of the summer collection, so they would work really nicely for some tone on tone nail art. All of these polishes are packed with shimmery glass flecks which really pop in the shade, so I tried my best to capture them in all their glory in my pictures.

Genesis is a white creme filled with glass fleck shimmer which gives a pearly finish. Formula was a touch streaky with this one so I found it worked best using light coats (this is 3 light coats). I've heard horror stories about the formula and while it wasn't the best, it definitely wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The shimmer was extremely lovely in this one and I liked it, but it felt like the oddball in this collection of saturated colors.

Aphrodite is a bright red jelly filled with glassfleck shimmer. Formula was a bit sheer and squishy, so I used 3 coats for full coverage. This was another oddball because it has a jelly formula while the rest have a more metallic finish, but I absolutely LOVE how the firey shimmer comes through the jelly base so well. This is an absolute stunner!

Mae is a warm magenta pink metallic with glassfleck shimmer. Formula was nice to work with and perfectly opaque in 2 coats. This is a pretty polish, but definitely not the most interesting one of the collection. The pinkish glass flecks don't contrast a lot with the pink base color, but they do add depth to the polish. This one looks metallic, but it is also has some jelly-like qualities to it as well.

Oceane is a metallic turquoise filled with glassfleck shimmer. Formula was very easy to work with and I reached full opacity in 2 coats. This has more of traditional metallic finish and the glass flecks don't stand out as strongly, but sort of blend into the base a bit.

Selene is a metallic teal filled with glassfleck shimmer. Formula was very much like Oceane with full coverage in 2 easy coats. The glass flecks in this one really come to life when the light hits them just right and have a violet flash to them. It is a very peacock-ish effect and although it is subtle, it's quite gorgeous. Metallic polishes usually aren't my jam, but I found myself really smitten with Selene and wanting to put it back on right after I finished my swatch session.

Isa is a deep blue-based purple metallic filled with glassfleck shimmer. Formula was very nice to work with with full coverage in 2 coats. This polish is just a stunner! There are sparks of blue and pink that come out in the purple base that just make me swoon! This is definitely at the top of my list in this collection!

Overall, this is a solid collection from Zoya. I have to pick Isa, Selene, and Aphrodite as my top must haves because they are all just gorgeous shades. Metallics aren't usually my favorite finish, but I think that the addition of the glassflecks really adds interest to a plain old metallic so I appreciate them more.
