Zoya Holiday 2015 Matte Velvet Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have Zoya's Holiday 2015 Collection to share with you and it includes 6 additions to the popular Matte Velvet line. These are gorgeous wintry shades that look gorgeous both in their intended matte form as well as with a coat of topcoat. These are available now on Zoya's website and at retail locations where Zoya is sold.

Sue is a pale champagne gold matte velvet with what is described as a multi-hued oyster shell pearl fleck. This polish starts off sheer, but builds up easily in three thin coats. For having the most normal name in the bunch, this is certainly one of the most interesting polishes in this collection. The flecks of pink and gold shimmer really come alive when you add topcoat! It's definitely unique and my favorite of this collection.

Yves is a sapphire blue matte velvet with blue shimmer. Formula was very opaque and easy to work with and I got full coverage in 2 coats. It's gorgeous both matte and shiny, but the blue shimmer really glows when you add topcoat. The color of this one is super pigmented, so I would recommend polishing carefully because it can be a bit stainy in the cuticle area (no permanent staining, just not one you want to have to clean-up).

Amal is a classic red matte velvet shade with red flecked shimmer. Formula was easy to work with and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is SUCH a gorgeous polish matte and shiny and I love the glow it has with topcoat. It's the perfect red for its classy inspiration. Like Yves, you this one can stain the cuticles a bit so you want to polish carefully.

Iris is a warm amethyst purple matte velvet with fuchsia pearl fleck shimmer. Formula was nice to work with and I got full coverage in 2 coats. This is a beautiful shade and I love the slight contrast of the fuchsia flakes. It has so much depth when topcoat is added.

Aspen is a white matte velvet with a diamond pearl fleck shimmer. This one was a touch thick so it tended to be a bit streaky during application. I used a light touch to apply it and 3 thin coats for full coverage. Application issues aside, it is realy beautiful! I love the pearly shimmer in it and it has a few flecks of different colors that don't photograph well but they are so pretty!

Honor is an emerald green matte velvet with emerald shimmer. Formula was very nice and opaque and I used 2 easy coats for full coverage. This one wanted to photograph a little dull and dark for some reason. It's slightly brighter/greener in real life than my photos show. It's a stunning Christmas green!
