Great Lakes Lacquer May Limited Editions

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have Great Lakes Lacquer's May 2016 Limited Editions to share with you and they are both inspired by one of maker Mariah's favorite summer activities: fishing! These gorgeous polishes launched yesterday in the Great Lakes Lacquer shop and will be available only during the month of May, so be sure to snag them while you can!

Redear Sunfish is a strawberry red linear holo with peach microflakes and blue glassfleck. Formula was very nice and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is a very happy, summery red that I thought looked great with my skintone. The shimmer in it gives it a little extra sparkle too, which I love.
From Mariah: "My favorite fish to catch. They are very beautiful. And tasty too."

I'd Rather Be Fishing is a deep greenish-teal jelly filled with green/blue color shifting shimmer, bronze flakes, and purple iridescent microflakes. Formula was very easy to work with and was plenty opaque in 2 coats and still had a squishy jelly feel.  This is a beautiful moody teal and the flakes and shimmer really come alive in the base. This is one that I feel looks even better in real life!
From Mariah: "It's that time of year again. The lake calls and the fish start biting."

Great Lakes Lacquer is available from their Etsy shop. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram so you can keep up to date on release info. Thanks for looking everyone!
