Zoya Petals Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! If you haven't figured it out, this week is going to be Zoya week on the blog and I have a long overdue post to share with you, the Zoya Petals Collection. I have had these swatched for ages, but have totally neglected to post them. Luckily, Zoya keeps their collections available year-round so you can easily pick these up on their site and they are beautiful colors that can be worn anytime. Stay tuned because I will be sharing the other Summer Collection (Seashells) as well as the Fall Urban Grunge collections over the next few days!

Zahara is a coraly orange creme full of opalescent glassflecks. This one starts out sheer, but builds up nicely to opacity in 3 coats. For all three of the full coverage glassflecky polishes in this collection, I recommend a little dry time between coats to prevent dragging. This polish makes me think of fizzy orange soda for some reason.

Aster is a periwinkle creme full of opalescent glassflecks. Formula very much like Zahara that starts off sheer, but builds up nicely to opacity in 3 coats. The color of this one was super hard to capture (as it goes with most periwinkles), but I would say that it is slightly deeper in real life than my photos are showing. I think the glassflecks shine so well in this polish!

Azalea is a pink creme filled with opalescent glassflecks. Same formulawise as the previous two polishes though slightly more opaque. I still recommend 3 coats for full opacity. I thought this one was a bit boring in the bottle, but I really loved the sparkling, sugary pink once it was on my nails.

Tulip is a pastel salmon creme with a slight shimmer. Formula was a bit patchy/streaky with this polish and I used 3 careful coats for full coverage. (The third coated evened it out pretty well.) This is described as a pastel, but it does have a little brightness to it. It's quite similar to the next polish, Laurel, but has a more orangey tone so I would pick whichever one you think would suit your skintone better. The shimmer is really faint, but just adds a bit of depth to what would be an otherwise flat creme.

Laurel is a warm pastel pink creme with a slight shimmer. Formula was very similar to Tulip with some minor streakiness that was evened out with the third coat (used 3 coats here). This is the pinker leaning of the two so it is the one that I prefer with my skintone. Again, it's a pastel with a little brightness to it and has that barely there shimmer that gives it a little pop.

Leia is a sheer polish filled with opalescent glassflecks. I wouldn't recommend wearing this polish on its own as it would be pretty sheer, but it works wonderfully as a topper. I used it here as one coat over Laurel and it adds a sugary opalescent finish. It would look fabulous over dark shades for the fall too, and those would bring out all of the beautiful colors of the glassflecks even better!

Zoya polishes are available at Zoya.com and other retailers that carry Zoya polishes. Be sure to follow Zoya on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter for updates on new collections and deals. Thanks for looking everyone!
